Car hire: it is recommended you hire a car, especially if you are arriving in the evening. If you want to hire a car in Grosseto and avoid the Rome traffic, you can reach a station in Rome and reach us by train. Remember however, Rome can be rather chaotic. If you are arriving in the evening in Pisa, and you have not eaten yet, we recommend you have something before closing time. Remember some restaurants and pizzerias may have last orders at 9:30. This may be earlier in the countryside. Quick meals can be found also at a MCDonald at Pisa central station or at Spizzico, where you can have a decent piece of pizza and a drink for a few Euros. Pisa has also a few pizzerias near the central station which serve good pizzas and are open pretty late too.
